The NFL playoff picture cleared up in Week 16.

The playoff field is essentially set in the NFC. It will include the Cardinals, Lions, Cowboys, Packers, Seahawks and the winner of the Falcons-Panthers game next week.

The Cowboys are locked into the third seed and the NFC South winner will be the fourth seed. The rest of the spots are up for grabs.

Seattle can lock up the top seed with a win against the Rams next week. The winner of the Packers-Lions game will get a first-round bye but will need the NFC West champ to lose in Week 17 in order to get home-field advantage throughout.

In the AFC, there’s a clear chain-of-command for the last spot. Four spots are locked up with the Patriots, Broncos, Colts and Steelers all guaranteed playoff spots. The Bengals can lock up a spot with one more win…
